Prickly pear

Prickly pear

The precious with a thousand virtues

The prickly pear is a species from the Cactaceae family and is common in Morocco. Prickly pear oil is extracted from the fruit's seeds. One tonne of fruit makes 1¾ pints of oil and is consequently pricey. Prickly pear seed oil protects the skin from free radicals and is rich in essential fatty acids that soften and restore the skin. This oil is also nourishing and helps improve top layer skin hydration. As an organic cosmetic, prickly pear seed oil is primarily valued as an anti-wrinkle treatment – it does more than a good job of fighting the ageing of the skin. Moisturizing, nourishing, healing, firming, protective and regenerating – prickly pear oil is used daily to bring suppleness and elasticity to the skin.
