Verbena

Verbena

The exceptional fragrance

Sweet verbena known as “louisa” in Moroccan, is a small shrub with branching stems and evergreen foliage. In its native region, it can grow to 6½ – 9½ feet tall. Ghmat and Sidi Ghiat (Marrakesh) are inextricably linked to verbena cultivation and in recent years have been the most productive regions of the plant. A member of the verbenaceae family, verbena is familiar also under its many other names. Verbena essential oil is extracted for use in perfumery and in cosmetics, for its sweet scent and for its skin softening and toning qualities.
