The Bitter Orange is a delightfully scented flowering common shrub. Its gift is Neroli oil. The Orange Blossom flower is white and larger than those of the soft orange tree and smells wonderful. It blossoms at the beginning of spring and harvesting starts at the end of March to the beginning of April. Flowers are picked in the morning shortly after the evaporation of dew. Neroli, the essential oil is produced via distillation, has a delicate yellow appearance and a bitter aroma. Distillation creates a scented water derivative which is widely well known as orange blossom water. This is used extensively in foodstuffs and cosmetics.
Our neroli, concrete, absolute, water absolue, petit grain, and dried flowers are certified as UEBT certified ethically sourced ingredients [bitter orange].
